I’m Debra Becks Cooper, an artist with a lifelong passion for creating.  Since childhood, I’ve been captivated by drawing and painting as a way to connect with the beauty I discover in everyday objects.  My work often focuses on nature, particularly fruit and flowers, and I’m inspired by the play of light, shadow, and textures like glass, metal, and wood.  I enjoy arranging contrasting objects to create compositions that evoke both visual interest and narrative depth.

I paint from life, setting up my own still lifes, and each painting is an original piece. I primarily work on small hardboard panels, using Artists' quality oil paints and finish with varnish.  Each artwork is numbered and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

This website serves as my online studio, where you can view and purchase available paintings, and prints.  I also share updates on my blog, showcasing new works and "work in progress" photos.  For over ten years, I’ve posted my paintings as a featured member on DailyPaintworks, and I occasionally offer auctions on eBay,  and reproduction prints of my art on Etsy.

I’m a member of the Railroad Street Artworks gallery in Fairport, NY,  a Signature member of both the Rochester Art Club and the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society, and also a member of Oil Painters of America.

My paintings are in collections across the US, Canada, Europe, and even Australia!
